Control 60 Panels

Hemsec Control 60 insulated panels set the standard for combining safety, efficiency, and durability in temperature-controlled, fire-rated environments.

These panels provide outstanding thermal insulation, making them ideal for cold storage, freezer facilities, and other areas where maintaining extreme low temperatures is crucial.

Superior single-span cabaility makes them an excellent choice for applications where uninterrupted spans are necessary, reducing installation time while maintaining structural integrity.

Certified by LPCB in the UK to LPS1208.

Control 60 – Metal Insulated Panels

When you need to cater for severe negative temperatures with firewall capabilities, Control 60 is the ideal internal insulated panel.

  • Ideal solution for severe negative temperatures, with a superior thermal performance of 0.1W/Mk
  • 60-minute fire resistance, LPCB certified to LPS1208, for both integrity and insulation.
  • Copes with demanding spans within non-intensive cleaning environments and are ideal for firewall construction.
  • A cover width of 1155mm helps reduce your panel quantity requirements.

With advanced firewall capabilities, the Hemsec Control 60 range offers exceptional fire resistance, UK insurance approved and certified by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) in the UK to LPS1208 standards, ensuring optimal safety in compliance with stringent fire regulations.

Designed for versatility and durability, Hemsec Control 60 panels feature industry-leading single-span capability, allowing for fewer structural supports and greater design flexibility in large-scale projects. This makes them an excellent choice for applications where uninterrupted spans are necessary, reducing installation time and costs while maintaining high levels of structural integrity.

Their fire-resistant properties, combined with superior insulation performance, make Hemsec Control 60 panels a reliable solution for temperature-critical environments that also require fire protection, such as cold storage, industrial freezers, and fire-safe partitions.

Whether used for new constructions or refurbishments, these panels deliver unmatched performance in maintaining temperature stability while offering peace of mind with fire-resistant, certified protection. Hemsec Control 60 sets the standard for combining safety, efficiency, and durability in temperature-controlled, fire-rated environments.

Panel Data

Chill & Ambient Applications (Above 0 °C):

* Max. Single wall spans (horizontal and vertical) are based on a combination of stress and deflection of 0.3kN/m2 with both walls and ceilings on a temperature difference (between internal and external environments) of 18°C, typically encompassing chill and ambient production zones. For temperatures and structural loadings beyond the above stated, consult Hemsec.

For specific Fire Rated spans, please refer to the Hemsec Fire Rating Matrix document.

The stated temperature difference may be increased to allow for negative temperature zones (i.e. Freezers) however this will affect the stated spans above, refer to the Freezer Applications table below for further guidance.

Max. Single ceiling spans are based on 0.9kN point load at mid-span and 0.25kN/m2 UDL (Hemsec strongly recommend referring to our Ceiling Care document for greater detail). Minimum bearing/support of 50mm at panel ends. Consult Hemsec for further information on permitted bearing loads and edge supports.

Panels are manufactured to bespoke lengths starting at the stated minimums above; maximum lengths stated may be increased upon referral to Hemsec up to a manufacturing capability limit of 15m**

** Hemsec should be consulted on any panel lengths greater than the maximum stated in the above table due to the difficulties faced when handling and on installation. Spans greater than 12.50m(Walls) / 8.80m(Ceilings) typically captured within the Control 60 product ranges.

*** Calculated using the method required by the Building Regulations Part L2 (England & Wales) and Building Standards Part J (Scotland).
Thermal transmittance based on λ mean = 0.02038 W/Mk.

Freezer Applications (Below 0 °C):
