Widnes Wild Sponsorship

HPT are delighted to announce sponsorship of the Widnes Wild ice hockey team for the 2017/18 season, continuing our efforts of support towards local sports.

Hemsec sponsor Widnes Wild

Formed in 2013, the ‘Wild’ compete in the Laidler Conference of the English Ice Hockey Association National Ice Hockey league (North). Having gone from strength to strength since their inception, the team have finished as runners up in the past two campaigns (winning the playoff trophy last season) and are looking to push for that elusive title spot in the year ahead. They also have a Ladies team competing in the Ladies Premier League.

Owen Jones, Marketing Developer for HPT stated that “We actively seek to support local community sports, helping provide kits and funding equipment; so have had Widnes Wild on our radar for some time now. With the nature of our business being involved in a lot of cold environment buildings such as insulated cold stores and freezers, the chance to team up with our local ice hockey team is a great match and provides us both with an opportunity for a long and successful partnership.”

He went on to add: “The club also has a youth system starting at the Under-9's level which we are very keen to help promote within our sponsorship, the Wild run vibrant school programmes too aiming to introduce children to ice hockey, and teach them how to play. We look forward to getting to their games at all levels this year.”

Widnes Wild play their home games at the Silver Blades ice rink which is situated on the Hive leisure park, approximately 5 miles from the HPT Factory.

You can follow @WidnesWild on Twitter and Facebook, or via their Youtube channel which features the Time To Go Wild podcasts and all home game highlights. Please visit the Widnes Wild website for further information.

Happy New Year!

Wishing you all the best for 2017

Freezer Project by Usher Refrigeration

North East based catering supplier Direct Line Supplies have tasked Usher Refrigeration to build a new freezer within their existing Bolden Colliery building, able to accommodate around 160m3 of frozen foodstuffs.

Usher have also offered to carry out the M&E works required for the project, providing a complete turnkey solution beneficial to their client.

The store, which varies in height from 6 to 7.5m, will utilise approximately 1,100m2 of 150mm thick HPT Control 30 panels.

Neil Usher of Usher Refrigeration commented that “the air tightness performance of the HPT panel joint was critical when looking to avoid any cold bridging on this project.” The joint detail achieves an air tightness value of 0.01 m3/m2/hr at 50 Pa, which is a best in class result.

Work is progressing well with both Usher and Direct Line Supplies delighted at the results so far. Follow this project in pictures on the Direct Line Supplies Freezer Pinterest board.
